Advertising is one of the most lucrative sectors for actors in Spain, and one of the least understood from the outside. A single well-paid commercial can bring in more income than several months of theatre. This guide explains how the commercial casting world works and how to position yourself to break into it.

How casting for advertising works

The process is different from film or theatre casting. In advertising, the chain is:

1. The brand hires an advertising agency. The agency creates the campaign and defines the profile of the actor they need.
